So sorry to hear about your dear niece...i'm sure she would've appreciated this beautiful magical world you've imagined and brought to life in this painting. The fields, the shadows, the tree and everything about it pulls you in, unlike landscapes which are representational and based on photographs. This one is special and your story makes it all the more touching. Stay well Kathy...god be with you and your family..
Kathy Knopp replied:
Thank you, God be with you also, especially at this time of uncertainty and pandemic. Art helps us cope.

This is beautiful and poetic Kathy! Missed this one earlier in your gallery...all those mellow colours combine to create a moody picture that draws you in! Somehow, this one is different...! L
Kathy Knopp replied:
Thank you Renu, appreciate your comments, yes it is a little different, I was in a moody state when I painted this one thinking of the fields and perhaps a creek and of course the tree that my sweet niece could run in. It was out of my imagination mostly and it just reminded me of her and her passing awhile back, so it became a gift. I enjoyed the vision and just know it would have been what she would have liked. I am not intending this to be morbit in any way, just my tribute to a beautiful woman who I miss very much, so your comments come at a great time and it brings me back to beautiful memories, so thank you! Be safe in this pandemic please.
